Bring your classroom to experience what it's like to be a farmer for a day!
Introducing unforgettable adventure where your students will step into the boots of a farmer and embark on a journey through the wonders of farm life. Perfect for our curious minds from Pre-K to 5th grade, this program promises a hands-on exploration of farm
animal friends, from the gentle giants like horses and cows to the playful goats, pigs,
alpacas, and our fluffy bunnies and clucking chickens!
Intended for Pre-K through Fifth Grade Students
Program Overview
Duration: 90 Minutes; Offered March 1 – September 20
Barn Class: We’ll begin in our barn classroom where we will discuss the joys and challenges of farm life. We’ll discuss what is a farm and the different types of farms.
Barnyard Exploration: Then it will be time to get up close with our farm animals and learn fascinating facts about each one. Plenty of hands-on activity!
Hayride Happiness: What’s a farm visit without a joyful hayride through the fields?
With an experienced guide, this isn’t just fun; it’s a learning adventure. In this 90 minute program, each visit is designed to captivate and educate for farm fun!

And there’s more! Enhance your “Farmer for a Day” experience with adding on an extra 30 minutes with one of the following 3 options. Each add-on requires an additional $3 per person.
Our Bee-autiful Add-On Experience: For those buzzing with curiosity about the smaller creatures that play a HUGE role in our ecosystem dive into the world of bees, learning all about their lives, and importance.
Sensory Garden & Greenhouse Exploration
Enjoy an additional 30 minutes exploring our sensory garden or greenhouse. This immersive walkthrough is designed to engage all senses, offering a deeper connection with nature and an up-close look at how plants and pollinators work together to create the environment we cherish. Hands-On Learning: Touch, smell, and see a variety of plants that play a crucial role in our ecosystem, enhancing the educational experience beyond the classroom.
Extend your field trip excitement with an adrenaline-pumping ride on the Super Mega Slide! Join us as we add an extra dose of thrill to our day. It’s the perfect opportunity to create lasting memories and bond over the sheer excitement of the slide. Don’t miss out on this chance to elevate your field trip experience to new heights. Get ready to slide into pure exhilaration!
We do not offer Farmer for A Day field trips during our Fall Barnyard Adventure season, September 23 – November 9, 2024.
Pricing:
Cost $12.00/person; 1 free teacher for every 20 students
Groups of 75-100 students receive $2/student off. 100+ receive $3/student off. Teachers included.
If family members will be joining the group, they may pay on their own before arrival through a provided link, or the school will be held responsible for their payment.
The group size minimum is 20 paying children and adults. There is no maximum size.
Full payment is due at check-in the day you visit the farm. Check must be made to Mary’s Land Festivals.
Fall Barnyard Adventures
Offered late September through Early November, this field trip option is our self-guided field trip for your group to enjoy our fall festival amenities. Amenities include a corn maze, pumpkin patch, animal petting areas, wagon rides (fridays only), and corn pit. There are no formal farm lessons or instructions.
Each student admission includes a small pumpkin to take home.
